Percy: Hmm... Where has Shigure gone today? He wasn't out in the field, and I couldn't find him around the camp.
Shigure: *singing*
Percy: Ah, there he is! Over there! I wonder why he's just sitting on that tree stump... And who are those people with him? Huh?! W-wait just a minute... Those aren't people... They're forest animals! It looks like rabbits, squirrels...even bears! They're all sitting around in a circle like schoolkids...
Shigure: I think that's enough for one day. How did you enjoy it?
Percy: Are you...talking with the animals?
Shigure: Ah! Who's there?! Wait! No, don't go!
Percy: They sure left in a hurry. Sorry for making them run off. That was my fault, Shigure.
Shigure: You just startled them is all, Percy. Frankly, I was startled too! But please, don't worry about it. They can't help being a little shy. So tell me, what are you doing all the way out here?
Percy: I was looking for you, of course! Growing up so far apart prevented us from getting to know each other. I thought maybe we could hang out and talk for a while. What do you say?
Shigure: O-oh... I don't know... I'm really not the most interesting person around. You might have a better time talking with someone more outgoing.
Percy: No way, that's not true at all. We're brothers, after all. You're the only person I want to see!
Shigure: You shouldn't feel obligated to be my friend just because we're related. And to be honest, I'm not in the most social mood right now. Please, excuse me...
(Shigure leaves)
Percy: H-hey, don't leave! Come back, Shigure!

Percy: *sigh* Shigure disappeared again... He probably went back to that little valley where I saw him the other day. Playing with all those animal friends of his. Ehehe... Looks like I was right! Hi, Shigure!
Shigure: Percy?! What are you doing here? Ah! Ah! Don't leave!
Percy: Not again! Looks like I scared them away. I really didn't mean to do that. Sorry, Shigure.
Shigure: N-no, don't worry about it. They aren't used to other people being around here. It's easy to startle them.
Percy: Oh, I get it... Jeez, it's amazing how you became friends with all of the forest critters. I mean, I'm friends with Ace, but that's totally different.
Shigure: Why were you looking for me again? Did you need something?
Percy: Yeah! I still want to talk and play with you, Shigure. We should be friends!
Shigure: I understand... Listen, I'm sorry for being a little cold the other day. The truth is, it makes me happy that you care about our relationship so much. I'm your brother, and I don't want to let you down.
Percy: Really? So I can stay here with you?! Hey, I have an idea. Why don't you call back your animal friends? I want to play with them!
Shigure: Honestly, I don't think they would be comfortable around you.
Percy: R-really? But why? I mean, you're friends with them. If I try super hard, maybe I can become pals with them too! Won't you teach me? Please?!
Shigure: Hmm... I'm not sure if this will help, but... Animals are highly attuned to the feelings of people around them. Most likely, they detected something in you that drove them off.
Percy: What do you mean? It's not like I thought they were my enemies.
Shigure: They can sense what you were thinking. Did you size them up to figure out which one might make a tasty dinner? Even just for a moment?
Percy: C'mon, Shigure. I'm an ally of justice. I would never think something like that!
Shigure: Of course not, I'm sorry. That's just the biggest reason I could think of for them to run away. I appreciate how sincere you are about befriending them. I'll try to think of what can be done to make them feel safe around you. There has to be a way to help out my adorable little brother.
Percy: Y-you mean it?

Percy: H-hey, Shigure...
Shigure: What's wrong, Percy? You look upset.
Percy: Umm... Well, I wanted to talk to you about those animal friends of yours...
Shigure: Oh? Did you want to go pay them a visit? I was just about to head in that direction if you want to come along. Are you ready to prove that you don't mean them any harm?
Percy: Yeah, about that... I've been thinking a ton about what happened the other day... I think you were right. About them sensing something about me...
Shigure: What do you mean?
Percy: I-I was feeling jealous because you were so friendly with all of them. You're my brother and all, but I envied how much attention you gave them. In the moment, I got frustrated and just wanted them to go away. I bet that's why those animals thought I was their enemy. I was acting like a big mean bully. I failed to be a true ally of justice...
Shigure: Percy, I'm glad that you thought about this and talked to me.
Percy: The point is, I can't go back out there anymore. I don't want to hassle them.
Shigure: Don't say that. You should absolutely go back. By opening up, you've changed, and the animals will be able to tell. I think they'll be more welcoming.
Percy: I'm not sure...
Shigure: Well I am. You didn't have to admit to feeling jealous, but you did anyway. That tells me that you've got a good soul. They'll be able to see that too. Look! There's a rabbit hopping this way.
Percy: W-wah! What am I supposed to do?
Shigure: Just calm down... Relax, and take a breath. Quiet your mind and be peaceful... Just think about how you want to be friends with the furry critter.
Percy: O-OK, I'll try! He's letting me pet him! Look, Shigure! The little guy is just sitting here. He's not running away or anything!
Shigure: See? I told you things will work out fine.
Percy: Phew, I'm so relieved.
Shigure: Now everyone is getting along. Including us brothers. Let's wander to the clearing in the woods. I bet your new friends will be waiting there.
Percy: OK! Thanks for being such an amazing brother, Shigure!
