Kana(F): Mama! Mama!
Mozu: Kana? What's wrong?
Kana(F): I picked some daisies for you, Mama! They're yellow like the sun!
Mozu: Oh, they're adorable. Thank you, Kana!
Kana(F): Do you really like them?
Mozu: I love them! You sure love bringing me flowers, though.
Kana(F): I just remember that when I was real little, we'd go looking at flowers together. You always smiled so much. And I love your smile, Mama! So I decided to start bringing you lots and lots of flowers to help you smile!
Mozu: That's so sweet of you, Kana. But I do have a favor to ask of you.
Kana(F): Anything, Mama! What is it?
Mozu: Do you remember how flowers are living things, just like you and me? Well, when you pick them, they can't eat or drink anymore, and they wither away.
Kana(F): Oh no! You mean I've been hurting them this whole time? I'm sorry, flowers! I didn't mean to! It was an accident!
Mozu: Don't worry, Kana. I'm sure the flowers will forgive you. Just make sure you don't pick any more, OK? And be extra thoughtful when you're playing with them, so they don't get hurt.
Kana(F): OK! But then how can I show you all of the neat flowers I find?
Mozu: Oh! That won't be a problem. We can just go look at them together.
Kana(F): Really? You won't be too busy?
Kana(F): OK! I'll take that as a promise, Mama. A promise!
Mozu: Heehee. OK. I promise!
Kana(F): La lala la-la ♪ And now it's Mama time!
Mozu: Heehee. You sure do seem excited today, Kana.
Kana(F): Of course I'm excited! I found us the best flowers to go look at. You're going to love them, I'm sure of it! Oh! There they are, Mama! Over there!
Mozu: Ooh. These flowers are very pretty. And they look so gentle and soft. They make me want to snuggle up with a blanket and a cup of tea...
Kana(F): Yeah! They reminded me of you, Mama!
Mozu: O-of me? I don't think— I mean I'm not sure if— Er. W-well it's sweet of you to say so. Thank you, Kana.
Kana(F): Heehee. Don't be embarrassed, Mama! These flowers might be pretty, but they're not as pretty as your smiles!
Mozu: Oh? Well I think your smiles are even prettier than that!
Kana(F): Really? Yay!
Mozu: Oh! Right! There's something I wanted to show you.
Kana(F): Ooh, what is it? Is it something good?
Mozu: Sure is! It's at home, and it's a—
Kana(F): Ahh! Wait! No! Don't spoil the surprise!
Mozu: Heehee, all right. I guess I'll just have to keep it a secret until next time.
Kana(F): Yay! I can't wait!
Kana(F): Hey, Mama! Is that the thing you wanted to show me?
Mozu: Mhm. Here, take a look.
Kana(F): Oh wow! What a big book! And look at all the flowers! Where did you get them?
Mozu: These are all the ones you've been bringing me! I dried them out and pressed them between the pages to keep them safe. I figured it was the perfect place for me to keep all your little gifts.
Kana(F): This is amazing! Really, really amazing! Oh! And look! These are the daisies I gave you the other day! I hadn't realized how many flowers I'd given you. Oh, Mama... Thank you for taking such good care of my gifts!
Mozu: No, thank YOU for all of the flowers! Each one you gave me made me feel all warm and happy inside. I couldn't bring myself to throw any of them away!
Kana(F): You're welcome!
Mozu: You know, we didn't pick those flowers we saw the other day. But I think we'll hang on to that memory for a long time to come anyways. I hope we'll have lots more memories just like that. How about you?
Kana(F): Me too, Mama! I love you so much!
Mozu: And I love you too, Kana!
