Shigure: Hello, Father. I didn't hear you come in. I'm sorry... I realize this isn't an appropriate time for artwork. We are at war...
Hayato: Relax, Son. I didn't come here to criticize how you spend your time. Personally, I love your artwork. In fact, I wish you'd paint even more. Your talent is inspiring. Truly one of a kind. I wish that you were more confident in your abilities.
Shigure: Thank you for the praise. It's a little embarrassing.
Hayato: I appreciate your modesty... But that's precisely why no one knows how talented you really are. We must find a way to share your artwork with the world!
Shigure: What do you mean?
Hayato: Hmmm, let me think... Ah, I know just what to do. We'll hold a solo exhibition for your favorite works.
Shigure: A-an exhibition? I don't think I could pull that off... And besides, our troops are on the advance. The setup alone would be way more work than it's worth!
Hayato: It doesn't need to be some grand event. It's simple. All we have to do is reserve a tent and invite the troops and nearby villagers.
Shigure: B-but it feels wrong to rent a tent for personal use...
Hayato: This isn't for you, Son. Artwork has the power to soothe our souls in times of great turmoil. To give peace of mind when there is none to be found. Understand, I'm not telling you this because I'm your father. I'm telling you because it's the truth. Don't you want to bring some joy to our town?
Shigure: I'm not sure...
Hayato: Well, if you're not interested, I'm certainly not going to force you into anything. What would you like to do?
Shigure: OK, fine... We can do the exhibition. But I have to admit I'm a little anxious about it.

Hayato: Sh-Shigure?! Where have you been? Why are you just now arriving here? How could you be late to your own exhibition? It's already under way.
Shigure: I'm very sorry, Father. I got here as soon as I could. I had to stay up all night to put the finishing touches on this painting.
Hayato: All night?! Just for a painting?
Shigure: Y-yes...
Hayato: What were you thinking? There are already plenty of paintings here! If you'd made yourself sick, we would have had to cancel! How could you have done something so thoughtless?
Shigure: I promised myself that I would complete it, no matter what. I made this because I'm thankful for everything you've done for me, Father.
