Kana(F): Mama! Hey, Mama!
Effie: Hm? What's wrong, Kana?
Kana(F): Look! I picked some pretty flowers for you! They're yellow like the sun!
Effie: Oh, thank you. These daisies are beautiful!
Kana(F): Do you really like them?
Effie: Of course I do. But you do seem to be bringing me a lot of flowers lately. What's gotten into you?
Kana(F): I just remember that when I was real little, we'd go looking at flowers together. You always smiled so much. And I love your smile, Mama! So I decided to start bringing you lots and lots of flowers to help you smile!
Effie: Oh, Kana. Thank you. Although I do have a favor to ask of you.
Kana(F): Anything, Mama. What do you need?
Effie: Remember how flowers need time to grow big and strong, just like Mama? Well, when you pick them, it means they can't grow anymore. It hurts them.
Kana(F): Oh no! I've been hurting them?! It was an accident! I'm sorry, flowers!
Effie: Don't worry, Kana. I'm sure the flowers know you weren't trying to hurt them. You just need to promise not to pick any more flowers, OK?
Kana(F): OK! But...if I do that, then how can I show you all the neat flowers I find?
Effie: Hmmm... Next time you find some, come and get me. Then we can go look at them together. How does that sound?
Kana(F): Really? You won't be too busy?
Effie: Of course not. I promise.
Kana(F): OK, it's a deal! We'll go look at all the nice flowers together! That's MY promise, Mama!

Kana(F): La la lalala-la-la ♪ And now it's Mama time!
Effie: Aw. You look like you're in a good mood today, Kana.
Kana(F): Yeah! I found some great flowers for us to go look at! You're going to love them. I'm sure of it! Look! There they are, Mama!
Effie: Ooh. These are very pretty, Kana.
Kana(F): Yeah, they're perfect! They're pink and delicate looking, but super strong! They reminded me of you, Mama.
Effie: It's sweet of you to say so, Kana...but I think I'd make for a pretty hungry flower. Still...thank you, Kana.
Kana(F): Don't be embarrassed, Mama! Flowers need food too! And lots of love! Just like Mama! But even flowers aren't as pretty as Mama's smiles.
Effie: Oh? Well, your smiles are even prettier, my little chicken dumpling!
Kana(F): Really? Yay!
Effie: Oh, that reminds me: I have something to show you.
Kana(F): Oooh, is it something good? Can I see it right now? What is it?
Effie: It's—
Kana(F): Ah! Wait! Don't tell me! That way I'll be even more surprised when you have it.
Effie: Hmm...you're right. OK, then. It'll be a surprise!

Kana(F): Mama, I'm here! Where is that thing you wanted to show me?
Effie: I have it right here. Come look.
Kana(F): Oh wow! This is such a big book! And look at all of these flowers! Where did you get them?
Effie: These are all of the flowers you've been bringing me! I dried them out and pressed them between the pages to preserve them. I thought it'd be the perfect way for me to keep all your little gifts safe.
Kana(F): This is amazing! Like, really, really amazing! I hadn't realized how many flowers I'd brought you. Look! There are the yellow daisies I gave you the other day! Thank you for taking such good care of the flowers I gave you.
Effie: And thank YOU for all of the love and flowers you've given me. With this book, I'll be able to cherish them for a long time to come.
Kana(F): You're welcome!
Effie: You know, we didn't pick those flowers we saw the other day... But we did make some nice memories when we went to go look at them. I hope we have many, many more memories like them. How about you?
Kana(F): I want that too! I love you so much, Mama!
Effie: I love you too, Kana.
