Selena: Hey, Kana. What's up?
Kana(F): I picked some pretty yellow daisies for you, Mama!
Selena: Oh! These are great. Thanks!
Kana(F): Do you really like them?
Selena: Of course I do. You know, you've been picking a lot of flowers for me lately.
Kana(F): I just remember that when I was real little, we'd go looking at flowers together. You always smiled so much. And I love your smile, Mama! So I decided to start bringing you lots and lots of flowers to help you smile!
Selena: You remember that, huh? You're a pretty observant little girl. Anyways, that makes me happy. Thanks, Kana. But there is one favor I wanted to ask of you.
Kana(F): Anything, Mama. What is it?
Selena: You know how flowers are living things, just like you and me? Well, when you pick them, they can't eat or drink, and they start to wither away. We don't want that, do we?
Kana(F): Oh no! You mean I've been hurting them this whole time?! I'm sorry, flowers! I didn't mean to! I promise! I've been such a big meanie...
Selena: Hey, now. I'm sure they'll forgive you, so long as you understand. You just need to promise not to pick any more flowers, all right?
Kana(F): OK! But then how will I show you all of the neat flowers I come across?
Selena: Hmm. Right. Tell you what. Next time you find some, just come and get me. Then we can go see them together. How does that sound?
Kana(F): Really? You won't be too busy?
Selena: Well...I might not be the most excited about it, but I'll go. You know me.
Kana(F): Well...OK, then. But I'm going to take that as a promise, Mama! A promise!

Selena: Heehee. You seem to be awfully happy about this little trip of ours.
Kana(F): Of course I'm happy! I found us the best flowers to go look at. You're going to love them. I'm sure of it! Oh! There they are, Mama!
Selena: Hey, those are actually kind of cute. And they're a pretty intense shade of red. I like 'em. Good job, Kana.
Kana(F): Yeah, I love this color! They reminded me of you. Teehee.
Selena: H-hey, cut it out! What's your angle, huh? I mean, I guess it's sort of nice being compared to a flower and all, but— Well, OK, fine. I'll let you have this one. Thanks, Kana.
Kana(F): Don't be embarrassed, Mama! Those flowers might be pretty, but I think your smile is even prettier!
Selena: What are you on about? You think I'm gonna let you get away with that? Heh. Well, you know what? I think your smile is even prettier than that!
Kana(F): Really? Yay!
Selena: Heh. Silly Kana. Oh, right. I just remembered. There was something I wanted to show you later.
Kana(F): Ooh, what is it? Is it something good?
Selena: It's—
Kana(F): Wait! No! Don't tell me! I don't want to spoil the surprise.
Selena: Psh. All right, fine. I guess I'll just keep it a secret until next time.
Kana(F): OK! I can't wait!

Kana(F): I'm here, Mama! Where's that thing you said you wanted to show me?
Selena: Oh, Kana. Good. It's right here. Come on then—open it.
Kana(F): Oh wow! What a big book! And look at all the flowers! Where did you get them?
Selena: These are all the ones you've been bringing me. I learned how to dry and press them between the pages to keep them safe. I figured it was the perfect place for me to store all your little gifts.
Kana(F): They're amazing! Like, super amazing! And they're all so pretty! Oh! Look! These are the yellow daisies I gave you! I didn't know I had given you so many different kinds of flowers.
Selena: Yeah, I was pretty shocked when I counted them. There were just so many. Looks like you've been a busy girl, Kana.
Kana(F): Oh, Mama. Thank you for taking such good care of the flowers I gave you.
Selena: No, I should be thanking you. You were the one who brought these to me. I was so happy each time I saw you coming with a little handful of them. And now I've got a whole book I can look through and think back on old times. So thank you, Kana. They've meant so much to me.
Kana(F): You're welcome!
Selena: You know, we didn't pick those flowers we saw the other day. But I think we'll hang on to that memory for a long time to come anyways. I hope we'll have many more memories just like that. How about you?
Kana(F): Me too! I love you, Mama!
