Kana(F): Mama! Mama!
Beruka: Yes?
Kana(F): I picked some flowers for you, Mama! They're yellow like the sun!
Beruka: Thank you.
Kana(F): Do you like them?
Beruka: Yes. They are very pretty. I've noticed you like to bring me flowers a lot. Why?
Kana(F): I just remember that when I was real little, we'd go looking at flowers together. You always smiled so much. And I love your smile, Mama! So I decided to start bringing you lots and lots of flowers to help you smile!
Beruka: Is that how it was? I do not remember smiling so much. But perhaps. Thank you, Kana. I do, however, have a favor to ask of you.
Kana(F): Anything, Mama! What is it?
Beruka: Flowers are living things. We should not kill them without purpose.
Kana(F): You mean I've been hurting them this whole time?! I didn't mean to! I'm sorry, flowers! I've been such a big meanie...
Beruka: It is all right. I'm sure the flowers will forgive you, so long as you understand. You must promise to stop picking them, though, OK?
Kana(F): OK! But then how will I show you all of the neat flowers I find?
Beruka: That is simple. Next time you find some, come and find me. Then we can go look at them together. How does that sound?
Kana(F): Really? You won't be too busy?
Beruka: No. I will make time.
Kana(F): OK! Got it! Next time I find some flowers, we'll go see them together! That's a promise, Mama!
Beruka: Agreed.

Beruka: What interesting flowers. Simple yet elegant. And my favorite shade of blue...
Kana(F): They reminded me of you, Mama.
Beruka: O-of me?! You must be joking. I am no great beauty. But I suppose I can take the praise. Just this once. Thank you, Kana.
Kana(F): Heehee. I love flowers, but I love your smiles even more!
Beruka: Oh? Well I love your smiles even more than that.
Kana(F): Really? Yay!
Beruka: I just remembered. I have something I wanted to show you.
Kana(F): Ooh. Is it something good?
Beruka: It is! I don't have it right now, but it's a—

Kana(F): Hey, Mama. Where is that thing you wanted to show me?
Beruka: Here. Take a look.
Kana(F): Oh wow! What a big book! And look at all these flowers! Where did you get so many?
Beruka: I got them from you. These are all of the ones you've been bringing me.
Kana(F): This is amazing! Really, really amazing! Oh! And look! These are the daisies I gave you the other day! I hadn't realized how many flowers I'd given you.
Beruka: I would not have believed it myself had I not counted them all earlier. I was a bit shocked. You must have spent a lot of time looking for these.
Kana(F): Oh, Mama. Thank you for taking such good care of the flowers I gave you.
Beruka: No. I should be thanking you. I can't tell you how much those flowers have inspired me. In everything I do. I remember perfectly each time you gave one to me. So this book has become more than just a book to me. It is a set of memories for me to cherish. Thank you, Kana.
Kana(F): You're welcome!
Beruka: We didn't pick those flowers we saw the other day... But I think we'll hang on to that memory for a long time, regardless. And I hope we'll have many, many more memories like that. How about you?
Kana(F): I want that too! I love you, Mama!
Beruka: Heh. And I love you too, Kana.
