Side Story: Thrust to the Future
When Side Story becomes available, Touma will send a text to Itsuki. The conversation is as follows:
Touma: hey itsuki. they're gonna hold auditions for a new character in raiga
Touma: so for preparation, i need to get hyped up. so... wanna go watch the show with me? i'll be at central city street in shibuya! |
If the player waits for a set amount of time before accepting Side Story:
Touma: let's go watch the raiga show. i'll be at central city street in shibuya. just come get me when you're ready |
>Itsuki speaks to Touma.
Touma: Oh, there you are! Let's go watch the Raiga show! I've been wanting you to see it too!
The player is given two choices on how to respond:
- Yes
- No
If the player chooses "no":
Itsuki: I've got something to take care of. Sorry.
Touma: Oh, is that so? Then you'd better take care of it quick. The show's gonna start soon.
>Conversation ends, Side Story unaccepted.
If the player chooses "yes":
Itsuki: Sure.
Touma: That's the spirit! All right, let's head there right away! It's gonna be at the Toubo Department Store in Ikebukuro.
>Touma leaves. He sends you a text. The conversation is as follows:
Touma: i'm at toubo department store in ikebukuro! you better come!
Touma: sends a picture of a masked man with the words "Here I Go!" written on it |
>After this, travel to Toubo Rooftop and speak to Touma.
Touma: Yo, Itsuki! The show's about to start! Let's hurry up and go see Raiga!
Itsuki: It's a bit late to ask this now, but what's Raiga?
Touma: I told you so much about it and you don't remember!? He's a hero, man! A live-action-series hero that I can't love enough!
Itsuki: Uh-huh.
Touma: There's gonna be an audition for the TV series soon, not just one of these live shows. I gotta watch this to get hyped.
Itsuki: You seem pumped up.
Touma: Of course I am! The whole reason why I got into this industry is to become a hero! Clad with lightning's might, the fangs of justice shall crush the nefarious Valhalla Pharmaceuticals! I am-
Crowd: Yaaaaaaaaay!
Itsuki: Oh, looks like it's starting.
Touma: ... R-Right.
>The camera shifts to the stage. Two masked men appear to be a stand-off; one has a syringe for an arm, and the other one is dressed up in a typical superhero get-up.
Editor's note: The mask the syringe-wielder is wearing is identical to the face of a Risen--an enemy faction from Fire Emblem: Awakening.
Raiga: Clad with lightning's might, the fangs of justice shall crush the nefarious Valhalla Pharmaceuticals! I am! Masqueraider... Raiga!
Crowd: Yaaaaaaaaay!
Raiga: Lightning Systems, all green! ... Boost up! Take this! Raiga Rush!
>Raiga punches his opponent, sending him off his feet and landing on his back.
Genome Monster: Gwaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
Raiga: Thanks to everyone's cheers, I was able to defeat the Genome Monster! Thank you!
Crowd: All right!
>The show finishes.
Touma: Oh man! Raiga is so awesome! Don't you think so, Itsuki!?
The player is given three chooses on how to respond:
- It was... Yeah.
- It was good.
- I don't think so.
If the player chooses option 1:
???
If the player chooses option 2:
Itsuki: It was good. No wonder you're so into it.
Touma: Right? Right!? Wasn't it worth coming to see!? It was all... Masqueraider Raiga!
Boy: ... Excuse me. You're in the way.
>A boy appears next to Touma
Boy: ... That's so dumb. Aren't you an adult?
Touma: The hell'd you say!? ... Wait. Who're you?
Boy: Does that really matter? Don't you feel dumb for getting all into this fake show?
Touma: Then why'd you come see it? Didn't you like the show too?
Boy: Not one bit. I'm just here to kill time. Besides, all that stuff about friendship and justice and victory is irritating... Those things are fake and only exist in made-up stories.
Touma: Wha-
'Boy: There's no way heroes even exist. Isn't it time you grew up?
Touma: ... ... Hey, why're you so gloomy? I'd be happy to listen if you wanna talk about-
Boy: Do I look like I care? It doesn't involve you anyway. ... I'm going.
>The boy attempts to walk away.
Touma: ... H-Hey! Then make sure you tune into the show next time! I'll be the new hero on it!
Boy: ... Whatever.
>The boy walks away.
Touma: ...
The player is given two choices on how to respond:
- Is that really okay?
- Why the lie?
If the player chooses option 1:
Itsuki: IS that really okay? Auditions haven't even started yet, right? Why the lie?
Touma: I just couldn't leave him be when I saw that loneliness on his face... Making children smile... that's what heroes do. Still... I can't believe I blurted out something so ridiculous.
Itsuki: Then you just need to get that part, no matter what.
Touma: Yeah! I'll make it happen! So, I've got a favor to ask... Will you come train with me? I still dunno about the sharpness of my moves for action scenes. I wanna brush up on them before the audition.
Itsuki: I suppose I should. I can't let you become a liar after all, Touma.
Touma: I owe you one, Itsuki! I'll be sure to think of a training regimen.
>Touma leaves. As Itsuki is about to leave the rooftop, Touma sends him a message. The conversation is as follows:
Touma: now about my training plan... i'm thinking we should hit the idolapshere in daitama
Itsuki: Okay. Touma: remember those monsters called blobs? i feel like my action skills will get better if i fight a ton of those Touma: sends a picture of a Blob Itsuki: Feel like? Touma: let's see... my goal is to defeat 5 of them! Touma: c'mon, don't sweat to details! what's important is how we approach this! Touma: sends a picture of a masked man with the words "Here I Go!" written on it |
>Itsuki travels to Illusory Daitama. There, he meets Touma.
Touma: You made it. All right, let's get started at once.
Cain: I still cannot grasp the reason behind this fixation on becoming a "hero." Is a her not defined by their actions? Simply striving to become one seems... odd.
Touma: Just watch me. I'll show you what a true hero's passion is like!
Cain: Well, if you wish to train, I suppose I have no reason to object.
Touma: Good! Let's do this, Cain!
>After the conversation, Tiki sends a text. The conversation is as follows:
Tiki: Big brother, you're training with Touma?
Tiki: He asked me to keep track of whenever he defeats a Blob. Tiki: I'll let you know through Topic, but Touma wanted to "train his heroism" by beating at least 5. I wonder if he'll be okay... Tiki: Big brother, please back Touma up so he doesn't do anything reckless! |
>Once five Blobs have been defeated, Itsuki will start a conversation with Touma.
Itsuki: How's that, Touma? I think we've defeated quite a few enemies.
Touma: Yeah! I think I've figured it out! Sharp moves in an action scene involve fast footwork... timing... proper breathing! And- Going all in!
>Touma's inspiration unlocks a new Perfoma: Mind of a Hero.
Cain's Voice: *Gasp* This radiance...!
Touma: Hehe! I've got this down now! Thanks, guys!
>Once the conversation ends, Itsuki sends a text to Tiki. The conversation is as follows:
Itsuki: Tiki, Touma got his Perfoma.
Tiki: Really? Good job! Touma: thanks tiki! Tiki: Then let's perform a Radiant Unity! Once you come to the Bloom Palace, we can start it right away! Tiki: sends a picture of a winking Tiki with the words "OK♪" on it |
>A conversation will trigger once Touma has learnt "Doorsof Rampage". Radiant Skill
Cain: The audition has finally come...
Touma Oh man, I'm getting nervous...
Cain: IF you succeed, you shall be able to take your place on this... television business as a hero.
Touma: Yeah! Just watch me! I'll teach you what a hero's passion is!
Cain: I look forward to it. Now, Touma--go, and show them the fruits of your training in full!
Touma: Right! Make sure you cheer me on!
>The scene changes to Toubo Rooftop, where the audition is based. Touma is seen on stage, dressed up.
Crowd: Yaaaaaaaaay!
Bull Genome: Hraaaaaaaagh!
>The Genome rushes towards Raiga, readying an attack.
Raiga: Too slow!
>Raiga dodges the Genome's attack.
Bull Genome: Whaaat!? He dodged my Raging Stampede!?
Raiga: Lightning Systems, all green! ... Full boost! Roar! Raiga Kiiiiiick!
>Raiga jumps into the air and kicks the Genome. The screen turns black.
Bull Genome: Graaaaaaaaagh! *Gasp* Uh, oh no! ... ACK!
>The screen goes back into colour, showing an unmasked Touma on the floor, off the stage.
Crowd: Ahahahahaha!
>The scene changes to a dressing room. Itsuki and Touma are having a conversation.
Itsuki: That was quite a show... at least, your defeat was.
Touma: Right!? Wasn't it awesome!? Wasn't it so awesome!? Did you catch it? I sure hope you did. The way that I reeled back when I got hit with the Raiga Kick! If there was a national reeling-back competition, that one I did today would've been in the top four! Easy!
Itsuki:' Your headpiece came off though.
Touma: *Sigh* I didn't get the part for the TV show and got this gig instead... But to think it'd be the villain... ahaha...
Itsuki: Didn't that director introduce you to this job though? He said he wanted you to get more experience. I don't think you should be so bummed out about it.
Touma: But even so... But even so!
The player is given two choices on how to respond:
- Is it about that kid?
- Liar, liar, pants on fire.
If the player chooses option 1:
???
If the player chooses option 2:
Itsuki: Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Touma: Urk! That's... well... The next time I see that kid, I'll just have to honestly apologize to him...
Cain's Voice: Life rarely happens the way we desire. You must use this experience as impetus to push yourself to greater heights.
Touma: Y-You're right! Yeah! My legend as a hero is just beginning!
Cain's Voice: That's the spirit, Touma. And one day, show me what a true "hero's passion" is like.
Touma: Of course!
Job complete!
