Iago has high Magic and Resistance, so you'll want to defend your base with a unit that can deal physical damage while sponging up magic attacks. A Pegasus Knight is a good choice for this, but their weakness to bows will be an issue if you let any of the Archers from the middle of the map get in. The Iagos are pretty relentless, so you may want to leave two controllable units defending the base to give yourself more coverage. Otherwise, your main objective is to eliminate the two Sages creating Iagos so as to stem the tide.
As is usually the case with these Shadow Elimination missions, you'll have to contend with Priests and Rally Captains appearing to support the Iagos. Remember that you cannot use healing items on this map, so you have no safety net to protect the allied base's fort captain with; he'll gradually heal just by standing in the base, but if there are any enemy captains in there they'll hurt him far faster than he can heal, so switch control to your fort guards periodically to clean out the base. Don't ignore the allied commander, either, as he's stationed outside and thus can't even heal passively.
A Mage will appear early on and prepare to assault the allied fort. What this means is that you have a finite time to defeat this Mage before he disappears from the map and reappears in your base. It's best to eliminate him before that happens, as you already have enough magic being slung around by the Iago clones.
Once all summoning Sages and Iago clones have been destroyed, Iago will open his base up and can be engaged directly. A pair of Wyvern Lords will appear from the two northeastern keeps and attack, so make sure to deal with them. Afterward, you may catch your breath and assault Iago's base at your leisure, but keep an eye on your time if you're striving for an S-Rank.
