Strategy

This map features sword units predominantly along the west side, Pegasus Knights and lance units along the center and finally bow units towards the east side. Therefore, you should have an easy time fielding a powerful lance unit to take on the west side, an axe and/or bow unit to clear out a path through the middle and finally a durable unit to handle the bow users.

Near the start of the battle, the three captains--Corrin, Hinoka and Takumi--will advance towards the main base. You can either let them come to you, which is preferable if you can charge your specials in time, or head to their location to try and intercept or delay them. Corrin can be eliminated quickly with a Dracoslayer weapon, but this isn't necessary.

Partway through the battle, a Rally Captain (Spear Fighter) will spawn towards the south-west corner of the map. If you have time, send an axe or neutral unit his way to stop him buffing his allies. Likewise, three Archers will spawn near the west, centre and east and start advancing on the main base to try and surprise you. Be sure to keep any fliers away.

After the three captains fall, the enemy base will open and you can fight Ryoma. Around this time, an Escort Soldier (Swordmaster) will spawn near Bank Fort. Quickly take him out before he reaches Ryoma, ideally with the unit you're sending to face Ryoma. Otherwise the Escort Captain will get increased morale, which can make the battle with Ryoma slightly more annoying.

You cannot heal using items or staves at any point during this battle, so be wary of two things. If your units take damage, have them retreat to a captured fort or the main base to heal. Also, take extra care to make sure no enemies stay around your main base or commander for too long, since you will be unable to heal them.
