Strategy

This mission pulls no punches; make sure your units are properly levelled before you even try. You'll want a lance user to defend the base against the oncoming horde of Darios shadows, but be wary of the Snipers as they can shoot down your Pegasus Knights should you go with them.

All the enemies on this map are very durable, so if you've gained weapons with the Armor Strike skill now is a good time to use them. They can make enemies much more manageable. Leave your lance user and perhaps one other unit of your choice at the Allied Base to protect it while two of your other units advance into enemy territory to take on the Mages and any other enemies that they encounter; ignore the Darioses as best you can and let your base defense team handle them, or capture keeps to delay them. Rally Captains and Priests will spawn to support the Darioses; eliminate them as they show up. A Swordmaster will also appear to assault the Allied Base. Try to take him out before this happens, or you'll have even more problems. If you can't defeat him in time, he'll teleport into the Allied Base. It's not the end of the world if this happens, since he's essentially yet another Darios for your lance user to take down.

Once the Mages are all dead, the Darioses will weaken and can be eliminated more easily. Start advancing your base defense team westward while your offense team heads to the enemy base to eliminate the real Darios. You're still not done yet, of course, as Darios will summon Velezark in the southwest field area once he's defeated. Now's the time to start unleashing all of your Dual Specials upon Velezark; if you're fast enough, you should be able to clear it in under 15 minutes, but don't worry if it takes you more than one try to do this.
