Strategy

Only sword units may be deployed this mission, but this isn't a problem because every enemy on the map is either weak to or neutral against swords. Your units should be divided into three teams and each assigned to protect a different allied captain. The enemy will never attack the allied base, so leaving someone behind to defend it is unnecessary. The enemy Sniper will attack Elise, the Oni Savage will attack the Falcon Knight, and Sakura will go after Lissa. As you attempt to fight off these commanders, hordes of Oni Savages will periodically advance on them, so keep your guard up even after you defeat the target. Early on, Corrin will advance out from the allied base alongside his Myrmidon to assist in the battle. His survival has no bearing on the mission.

A Rogue Thief will appear in the Tunnel Entry and remain there for some time before teleporting to a different fort. Corrin should have advanced to protect the Falcon Knight by then, so the playable unit assigned to protect her may be able to take a break to go defeat the Thief for a cash reward. This is completely optional.

Once the enemy base opens, Snipers will spawn at the Falcon Knight and Elise and begin advancing on Takumi. If they're allowed to reach him they will receive a morale boost, making them more of a nuisance when facing Takumi. Thankfully, the Sniper that spawns near the Falcon Knight will ignore her in favor of advancing. Additionally, Corrin and his Myrmidon will attack Takumi.
