Strategy

A lance user can take care of the major opponents as well as the assorted Myrmidons, while a sword user can handle the Fighters. You'll want some mobility on this map.

Right at the start you have a problem, as all your units start off pretty far away from the Allied Base and Commander. You'll want to send your units northeast to protect the commander from Lianna, while one of your lance users stays behind to face off against Rowan. Enemy Mages will appear and start a long-ranged lightning attack all over the map.

As soon as Rowan falls, you'll want to focus on defending your base and commander; the Myrmidon reinforcements will come in full force, and you can't afford to leave yourself undefended. Lianna should be there too, and her defeat will also trigger Myrmidon reinforcements, and both bases will send more Myrmidons whenever they get an advantage over the other. As such, one of your lance users should stay at the base to defend it while your sword user is sent out to hunt down the Mages and any vulnerable bases. A Villager will appear and request you defeat many enemies; indulging his bloodlust will make him promote into a Warrior, who will guard your Allied Commander. A pair of Paladins will also appear at some point to attack your Allied Commander; if one of your lance users is still guarding the base, keep an eye on the battle and have them protect the commander when they get the chance.

Once you're ready, take down Celica and Darios to end the mission.
