Strategy
You are constrained to Awakening characters for this mission. As there are a lot of enemy Myrmidons plus two Ryomas, Cordelia is a good option for taking them on, and her access to healing magic makes her suitable for defending the base as well. Avoid fielding Lissa or Frederick, as their axes have little benefit and the latter is vulnerable to magic. Chrom or Lucina can take on the magic users and dragons thanks to their high power and Dracoslayer weapons. Finally, Robin's powerful magic is good for picking off most physical targets, but the enemy magic users and Gharnef have high Resistance.
Your first targets, the Enemy Swordmaster and Rogue Ryoma shadow, will advance on the Allied Commander and base right at the start, so either meet them halfway or let them come to you. Your allied Marth and Chrom will travel out to face the enemy, but you can ignore them for the most part.
Once the Rogue base opens up, a pair of Diviners will advance out from it to take the allied base. Similarly, the Enemy base will send a pair of Myrmidons once exposed. They will periodically spawn more Diviners and Myrmidons as they gain and lose momentum against each other. Chrom and Marth will attack Gharnef once they have the chance, but will make no move on Ryoma even after you win against Gharnef.
During the mission, an enemy Summoner will appear in the southeast corner of the map and begin summoning Swordmaster Scout Troops if left unchecked. Later, an enemy Diviner and an allied Myrmidon will also appear in the same area. If the Diviner is not dealt with, he will become more powerful.
