Strategy

If you want a S Rank, you'll need to be quick as you've got 5 minutes to score 2000 KOs. Due to the enemies you face, a sword or bow wielder with a Draconslayer weapon would be ideal. To maximise KOs, don't Pair Up and leave your AI partner to (hopefully) take the west-most route, while you go along the east-most route.

Slay everything in your path as you gradually made your way round to the central, wide area. By the time you reach the northern entrance, you should have defeated two or more captains, which will spawn reinforcements all around the map. Next, KO the target Manakete in the central area to lower the enemy morale.

Once the Manakete has fallen, aim for the captains in the central area and the side path to the east. Defeating 3 more captains will spawn more reinforcements to add to your kill count. Next, Corrin, Tiki and Camilla will join the battle; defeat one to proceed. All three are dragons and thus weak to Dracoslayer. Camilla will be the closest.

Afterwards, you will be directed to KO a Fighter in the central area to lower enemy morale. Finally, the enemy will gather in great numbers for a climatic finish.

While the battle is going on, Awakening Tonic Transporters (Manaketes) will routinely spawn in the central area, near the eastern entrance and further south. If you are confident, trigger Awakening to rake in increased exp/drop rate etc. But beware of triggering the actual Awakening attack as it wastes precious seconds.

If you can get the hang of this battle, it's a nice place to farm Manakete and Myrmidon items.
