This battle is neatly divided into three columns. The column to the west is full of Samurais, with a few Ninjas dotted around and Sakura towards the north-west corner. Meanwhile the column to the east is occupied by Spear Fighters and headed by Hinoka, near East Ballista.

Finally, the middle column is the busiest. There you'll find plenty of Archers, Takumi and Oboro waiting just north of the Allied Base and Ryoma sitting cozily towards the far north. Ideally you want Camilla to take the east side, while the others can choose between themselves.

The first two Ruffians--the Spear Fighter near the south-east and the Samurai to the west--are located very close to targeted forts, so get ready for them or quickly head to their position to defeat them ASAP, before running back to guard your forts.

The third and fourth Ruffians (an Archer to the far north and a Spear Fighter towards the north-east) are very far away, so you have plenty of time to anticipate them, or--if you have enough hands on deck--you could as easily run to their position to exterminate them.

After the first Ruffian moves, a Rally Captain will spawn near East Hold, towards the far north-east. He appears near the Spear Fighter Ruffian, so you can kill two birds with one stone. After the third Ruffian moves, Diviners will spawn to assist their allies.

Once you've defeated the first three Ruffians, the Enemy Base will open. But don't forget there's one more Ruffian to take care of. Ryoma will receive a buff from his fort's Dragon Vein, then march to your base.

As soon as the third Ruffian is gone, try to run to the Enemy Base with one of your stronger characters to take the base and dispel the Dragon Vein. This could be a job for Xander, Leo or Elise with their high movement.

Additionally, a group of enemy forces around the north and central parts of the map will start advancing on your base. After a while, the remaining unique captains will start moving towards your base or any captured forts.

Depending on the strength of your Nohrian units, there are two ways to tackle this map. You can either camp in your forts and anticipate the enemy, but you will need to send somebody to capture the enemy base unless you enjoy beefed up Ryoma.

Alternatively you can take the fight to the Hoshidans and systematically work your way up the three columns of the map. Regardless, you should always have a character guarding the Allied Base at all times, because it can attract a lot of heat (especially from Ryoma).

Besides that, you will need a powerful unit or two to handle the enemy forces that like to gather just above the Allied Base. It is entirely possible for Takumi, Oboro and Hinoka to be stuck around this position simultaneously, which could be a blessing or a curse.
