"LvS" is a keyword where the ability is only active when the unit's stack reaches the number that is next to the keyword. The stack is the number of cards that are under the unit, along with the unit itself. So, the stack of a unit that is class changed is 2. You can "level up" by putting the same character on top of the stack to increase the stack.
